In response to the FCC’s ( News - Alert) mandate that VoIP providers need to offer full 911 services to all interconnected customers, NetSapiens (News - Alert) has just completed interoperability testing with 911Enable. NetSapiens, a provider of turnkey VoIP solutions for competitive communications providers, completed interoperability testing between its IP Multimedia Platform and 911Enable’s VoIP 911 service.
“Offering 911 services is vital for VoIP service providers,” said Anand Buch, co-founder and CEO of NetSapiens. "As a provider of turnkey solutions, our business model is based on integrating the highest quality core technology, services, and tools to enable competitive service providers to easily and quickly generate revenue. Our agreement with 911Enable is an example of how we bring together ‘best of breed’ network elements to create a seamless VoIP environment that complies with FCC regulations.”
Only days ago, 911Enable announced that the company has extended its VoIP E911 solution to enterprise customers. The company is showcasing its patented E911 VoIP Location Management System and Extension Bind technology at TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & Expo, WEST, which runs October 10-13 in San Diego.
911 Enable is a VoIP E911 provider that offers residential and enterprise E911 solutions in both the US and Canada. Its Location Management System (LMS) was created to provide nomadic employees with the ability to register multiple locations into 911 Enable’s database. This allows them access to critical 911 services regardless of where they generate the call from, ensuring 911 calls will be automatically directed to the appropriate public safety answering point. The LMS feature is also compatible with devices such as IP phones and laptops.
