Business mobility seems to be the phrase to know these days. With more and more enterprises leaning on mobility and the benefits of a workday not tied in front of a desk, leaves mobility a topic that simply cannot be ignored.

Another buzz word we keep hearing about-- convergence—the bringing together of technologies to provide one highly functional solution. But this isn't limited to just bringing together solutions and technologies to strengthen the market, for the future of business mobility this means consolidating of companies as well.

This is what Nokia (News - Alert) is focusing on and highlighting as they demonstrate their line up of mobility solutions, products and ecosystem and how it increases business productivity and provides a competitive advantage in the playing field at CTIA Wireless (News - Alert) 2007.

The company is showing mobile professionals and IT managers the benefits of productivity and ease of management provided by their offerings. And have further narrowed down these benefits in what they call, the "Four C's"

Connectivity—provided via the ability to connect with devices, on platforms and use operating systems and technologies as well as deliver mobile connectivity to a multitude of business applications or data sources.

Cost-savings—realized via improved security, productivity, easy to use interfaces, compatibility with a number of back-end solutions and the ability to also use VoIP as well as offering device consolidation.

Creativity—offering rich end-user features beyond email, the third party developers an open standards platform.

Culture— providing solutions needed for a "connected" future and supporting mobile workers in their professional and personal life as well as improving productivity to drive improvements in an overall work culture.

Specifically, Nokia offers the Intellisync mobileware platform and Nokia Eseries devices to meet business mobility needs. At CTIA, Nokia will demonstrate the new Intellisync Mobile suite 8.0 and new features as well as new Eseries devices like the Nokia E62, including software enhancements and new mobile applications solutions like business voice and VoIP over WLAN.

Supporting the company's strong hold on mobility solutions for the mobile professional, Scott Cooper, vice president, Mobility Solutions, Enterprise Solutions, Nokia commented in a statement to the press, "We are seeing a more strategic approach to mobility- a shift from the point solution implementations that we've encountered in the past three years, to a new, more comprehensive approach to mobility. Enterprise customers will enjoy the benefits of always-on, robust and secure mobility solutions, beyond mobile email delivered to the executive suite or traveling sales staff."
